Pictorial Tour - From the Outside ...
Imagine for a minute that you are approaching the DOVER HARBOR. As you get
closer you notice its heavy construction and that it is painted in classic rich
"Pullman" green with gold lettering. A white-jacketed porter greets
you with a warm smile. You leave your luggage with the porter who offers you a
steady ha nd and reminds you to "Watch Your Step" as you enter the
vestibule. You pause a minute, looking out of the vestibule down the silvery
tracks behind the train. You might reflect on the fact that at one time boarding
a Pullman car was as common as hopping an airplane. As you turn to open the door
to the lounge, you see the sign under the door bell that says "This car for
the accommodation of Pullman Passengers only." You push the door open and
step inside the car. Your porter is right behind you with your luggage, which he
