Below are pictures of a sister car of the DOVER HARBOR, the DOVER STRAIT. The photos were taken by Kevin Tankersley in July 1993 in Illinois. DOVER STRAIT was rebuilt from STRYKER a plan 2951C car in 1934. It was in the Pullman pool; sold to the NYC after the Pullman suit, leased back to the pool (1948). Sold to EJ&E in Feb 1960 After Pullman retired the car, it was put in maintenance of way service, so there were some modifications made to the interior and it is not in the best of shape. The car is in the process of being restored by the Illinois Railway Museum.
